About the moderator:
Katie Allan Zobel was appointed President/CEO of the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts in 2013. Prior to that, she shared the role of VP for Philanthropic Services for eight years and was responsible for raising $8-10 million annually for the Community Foundation.  She was part of the team that launched Valley Gives, a 24-hour on-line giving event for the Pioneer Valley.  Graduating from Boston College with a BA in English, she started her fundraising career by writing a grant to teach writing in Springfield’s York Street Jail. She continued fundraising in various capacities for WGBY, the region’s public television station, before moving on to ten years at Amherst College, serving as the College’s Director of Annual Giving and Director of 25th Reunion Programs. She earned a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation from The American College in 2012 and is or has served as a volunteer for the Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts, Link to Libraries, Grace Episcopal Church, Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity, and the Amherst Education Foundation.
