About Us
Women in Philanthropy provides an enriching educational experience and valuable networking for professionals involved in philanthropy. We work exceptionally hard to find talented and engaging speakers and provide stellar programming that forecasts trends, focuses on opportunities, and addresses challenges encountered in the field.
“The value of WiP’s breakfast meetings just can’t be beat. Our programming committee works hard to bring the very best and brightest speakers to our events. We offer high quality professional development and networking opportunities at our monthly meetings, all for a very reasonable fee. Our events are great for fundraising professionals and volunteer board members alike. I’m proud to say that even seasoned professionals leave each meeting with strategies that they can put to use right away.”
– Monica Borgatti, former President of WiP & Chief Operating Officer, The Women's Fund of Western Massachusetts
“As a longtime member of Women in Philanthropy, I still always look forward to the monthly meetings – they are definitely worth the time commitment! I believe that WiP is the best local organization that a nonprofit can belong to, not only for the networking it provides, but for the content of each meeting. I never fail to learn something new and always come away from the meetings with ideas for my clients. And I have met so many warm and wise women that I now consider as friends. Thank you for continually coming up with knowledgeable and relevant speakers.”
– Teresa Utt, Director of Nonprofit Marketing at Andrew Associates
“WiP continues to be a good place to learn, network, ask questions and test ideas. It is affordable and local. It is an investment in time for you and your staff to reflect on the work that you do and consider what works, what needs tweaking and what you promised you'd do but haven't followed through yet.”
– Rima Dael, Executive Director of Development, NEPR
“My WiP membership provides a network of colleagues that is helpful to me as the director of a small development team responsible for multiple fundraising programs. Exchanging ideas with other WiP members is stimulating and thought-provoking. I also value the opportunity WiP provides for interacting with other professional women so committed to advancing their nonprofits’ missions.”
– Elaine Lamy, Director of Development and Communications, Engaging Schools
